How do you get cotton from the Q-tip out of your ear?

My mother was using a Q-tip this morning and the cotton swab fell off pretty deep inside her ear. How can she get it out? She doesn’t want to go to the doctor because its a new year which means she’ll have to pay the deductable. Is there any good home remedies? Thanks for your help.

TWO SUGGESTIONS… FIRST, TAKE A FRESH Q-TIP, VERY LIGHTLY MOISTEN IT WITH WATER. PUT IT IN THE EAR, TWISTING IN ONLY ONE DIRECTION, THEN AS YOUR STILL TWISTING SLOWLY PULL IT OUT. THE ORIGINAL SWAB TIP SHOULD HAVE WRAPPRD ARROUND THE NEW, DAMP SWAB. OR TRY FLUSHING-OUT THE EAR, USING WARM WATER FROM AN EAR DROPPER, OR SIMILAR DIVICE LIKE A FOOD BASTER.
